about global culture:
Global Culture is a family run certification agency that has been involved in commercial farming operations for over forty years. We have worked in organic agriculture and organic food production industries for the over 20 years helping to promote sustainable practices. We are accredited by the USDA National Organic Program to issue organic certification to operations that comply with the USDA National Organic Program Regulations. Whether you are seeking organic certification as a producer of crops, wild harvest, livestock, processing/handling, we are able to provide you with a service oriented approach to organic certification at a competitive price. Organic certification to the USDA National Organic Program Standards is an annual process requiring careful tracking and review that begins with soil care and seed selection that continues through handling, processing, packing, labeling and retailing in an integrated audit system. Before you choose who you use as an organic certifier you should know the following: How much is your organic certification going to cost?
How long is the organic certification process going to take?
How much time you should expect to put into the paperwork? Global Culture will work hard to give you a good faith estimate to these questions.
what does the organic certification process involve?
Give us a call to see if your operation may be able to qualify for as a USDA National Organic Program certified operation. If it looks like you are able to comply, we will send you an Initial Application which is a contract between Global Culture and your operation, and an Organic System Plan form to fill out and send back to us. By you filling out the Organic System Plan form, you are creating your Organic System Plan customized to your particular unique operation. An Annual On-Site Inspection will then be scheduled to inspect your operation by a trained inspector. The inspection report will be filled out, a few photographs may be taken and other supporting information may be requested at that time. Once our office receives the On-Site Inspection Report and supporting information, there will be a review of the entire file to determine compliance. Additional information may be requested at that time. Upon review, a determination of certification status will be made by Global Culture. If everything reviewed complies with the USDA National Organic Program, a CERTIFICATE OF ORGANIC OPERATION will be issued and you will then be able to sell your products as Certified Organic in the market place.
